You are correct. This script is for snapshotting all attached EBS volumes, but each of them must be used individually, and not as part of RAID or LVM. For a RAID or LVM comprised of several EBS volumes, not only that you have to freeze all and snapshot together, you have to be able to restore all together as well, which even complicates matters more.

Let&#039;s hope Amazon will roll out an option to snapshot/restore multiple volumes within the API.</description>
